MARK KERR is at the centre of a five-way battle between English clubs.
Dundee United failed to negotiate a new contract for the 26-year-old midfielder who is now a target for a string of clubs south of the border.
His old boss and team-mate Owen Coyle wants to bring Kerr to play at Burnley. And another Scot Gary McAllister wants to take him to Leeds United.
Coventry City, Leicester City and newly-promoted Championship outfit Doncaster Rovers are also in the hunt.
