SFA set for Levein fury

DUNDEE UNITED boss Craig Levein will go to war with the SFA this week over his explosive rant at referee Mike McCurry.

Levein is to find out on Tuesday if his outburst after United's 3-1 defeat at Ibrox last month will see him carpeted.

But Tannadice sources say Levein will fight any punishment - even if it means in court.

The Arabs gaffer slammed McCurry for ignoring a stonewall penalty when David Weir barged Noel Hunt. He also accused the whistler of wrongly disallowing a Danny Swanson goal and not sending Daniel Cousin packing for butting Lee Wilkie.

Levein said: "Mike bottled it due to the game's importance."
