I've put Old Trafford injury woes behind me now, vows Mark Wilson

MARK WILSON is hoping for happier memories of Old Trafford after the Theatre of Dreams became his House of Horrors on his last visit.

The Celtic defender broke a bone in his foot during the 3-2 defeat by Manchester United two years ago - and it proved the start of his woes.

Wilson has been plagued by injury problems at Parkhead but reckons he is now feeling fitter than ever and wants to cement his place in the side.

He said: "Hopefully I'll have better luck at Old Trafford this time.

"My knee was troubling me for a long time but this is by far the best I've felt since joining Celts.

"Hopefully I can hold down my place in the team and be involved in the big games coming up.

"It would be nice to go down to Manchester with a few games under my belt and feeling match fit.

"My form is also as good as it's been - it makes a real difference when you don't have an injury nagging away at you and that's showing in the way I'm playing."
