Charlie: There's life after Celtic

CHARLIE MULGREW has urged more of Celtic's kids to get out of Parkhead and further their careers elsewhere.

The Scotland Under-21 star was one of the Hoops' most promising youngsters a few years ago but found it tough to break into Gordon Strachan's first-team.

After a successful loan spell at Dundee United, Mulgrew won a move to Championship side Wolves and is now back in the SPL with Aberdeen.

He insists he's living proof there is life after Celtic and believes more of the club's youngsters should look to kick start their careers at other teams.

Charlie said: "It's important players who leave a club like Celtic don't lose belief in themselves.

"There are a lot of good boys there who might not make it but there comes a time when you've got to look after yourself and go out and play games."
