CARDIFF boss Dave Jones can't believe Glenn Loovens has ditched a chance to play in the Premiership.
The Dutch defender rejected a new contract at the promotion seeking Bluebirds to join Celtic in a £2.5million deal.
Jones feels Loovens, 24, has made a huge mistake and said: "I was surprised by Glenn's decision to join the SPL even if he has the Champions League to look forward to. There's really only two teams up there.
"But he was out of contract next summer and wanted to go - and once Celtic and Rangers reached our valuation we had no choice.
"And after Rangers went out of the Champions League he chose to go to Celtic.
"He will be hard to replace as Glenn is a good player and I expect him to do well at Celtic."
