HOOPS star Gary Caldwell claims some Celts get off Scot free when it comes to taking stick from the fans - because they weren't born here.
A section of the support called for the Scotland stopper to be dropped last term and demanded the return of Guinean Bobo Balde. But Caldwell reckons he wouldn't be taking pelters if he had been signed from Hamburg instead of Hibs.
He said: "Scottish players are put under more scrutiny by the fans.
"We take a lot more flak than foreign lads but that's something we have to put up with.
"When I came here two years ago people asked whether I was good enough to play for Celtic. You must deal with it at a club this size but I've proved I am good enough."
