THOMAS GRAVESEN will return to Celtic this summer after Everton declined to make his loan move a permanent deal.
Boss Davie Moyes wasn't impressed by the Dane on his season-long loan.
The Hoops now face forking out around £40,000 per week to the former Real Madrid midfielder for the remaining year of his contract - unless they can cut a pay-off.
Gravesen's old international pal Morten Wieghorst said: "I'm sad it hasn't worked out for Tommy at Celtic. He was excited about the move when it happened.
"Now it's going to be hard for him to break into a successful Celtic side."
Wieghorst played for Hoops for seven years and now manages FC Nordsjaelland back in Denmark. He said: "I loved my time in Scotland so it does appeal to come back one day as a manager."
