Irish Eye A Trip To Celtic Park

CELTIC winger Aiden McGeady could be given the chance to shine for the Republic of Ireland on his Parkhead home turf in March.

The Irish have lined up a friendly against Croatia for March 25 and are considering playing in Britain with Lansdowne Road being redeveloped and Croke Park unavailable.

And they are poised to approach Hoops officials this week about staging the money spinning match at Celtic Park.

The FAI said: "At this stage the friendly hasn't been confirmed as we are in the process of finding a new manager.

"However, Celtic Park is one of the stadiums being considered."
