Hoops Hitkid Departs Pars

CELTIC winger Michael McGlinchey has had his loan spell cut short at Dunfermline due to injury.

The 21-year-old has impressed at Pars since former manager Stephen Kenny signed him on an emergency loan from the Hoops in November.

The New Zealand-born ace was scheduled to stay in Fife until next weekend but has already returned to Parkhead for treatment.

Now East End Park boss Jim McIntyre is weighing up whether to ask Gordon Strachan for an extension once the Scotland youth is fit again.

McIntyre said: "Michael has gone back to Celtic early because he has a wee bit of a niggle.

"I know his loan is up soon and I have still to make a decision on whether to try to bring him back."
