DEREK YOUNG insists Aberdeen must start to enjoy home comforts if they are to book themselves a return trip to Europe next term.

The Dons crashed to their second home defeat of the season - following the opening day loss at Inverness - as Hamilton romped to a shock 2-1 triumph at Pittodrie.

And Young reckons his team-mates need to sort out their form at Pittodrie now if they are to have any chance of finishing third. Young said: "We have to make our own ground a fortress but that hasn't happened. We can't afford to make the sort of mistakes we are making. The fans felt we would win after we took the lead but we switched off and Hamilton deserved to beat us in the end.

"All credit to Hamilton but we should be beating them if we have real ambitions.

"We showed what we can do by drawing with Rangers but we need to get our finger out."
