Dons Set To Strike Rich

ABERDEEN are set to kick off their summer signings by snapping up former Motherwell striker Richie Foran.

Boss Jimmy Calderwood is desperate to capture the Southend hitman who was a big success during two-and-a-half years at Fir Park.

The only stumbling block is a knee injury that has been troubling the Irishman since he returned from a loan stint at Darlington last month.

But Foran will join Dons for around £100,00 providing he passes a medical.

BLACKBURN have cooled their interest in Motherwell captain Paul Quinn after he missed the end of the season with a broken jaw from a nightclub bust-up.
