FORFAR boss Dick Campbell praised his battlers' character after they came back from the dead to snatch their first home point of the season.
Dumbarton were 2-0 up before Johnny Russell and a late header from Graham Gibson rescued an unlikely draw for the Loons.
Campbell said: "It was a fair result considering we have not won at home but we showed real character."
Dumbarton took an early lead when a mix-up in Forfar's defence led to a Stephen Tulloch own goal.
Paul McLeod added a second in 52 minutes before Russell and Gibson pulled off Forfar's comeback.
Dumbarton boss Jim Chapman said: "We should have killed the game."
