Albion 1-2 Stenhousemuir

JUBILANT John Coughlin urged leaders Stenny to rack up an early season milestone next week after they maintained their stunning form.

Rampant Warriors are still unbeaten in the league thanks to a Kevin Motion strike and Michael McGowan own goal.

Now gaffer Coughlin has set them an important target.

He said: "We were lucky to win a hard game and it's a tough hurdle out of the way. We're focusing on finishing the first quarter unbeaten.

"It's Forfar next week so that can't come quickly enough." Motion fired Stenny ahead nine minutes before the break but Callan Adam hit back in 66 minutes.

Coughlin's men proved too strong and sealed the win in 71 minutes when McGowan diverted a Chris McGroarty cross into his own net.

Gutted Albion manager Paul Martin said: "We had so much possession but found it difficult to open them up.

"Stenny defended very deep and in the first half we were too anxious to break them down."
