Forfar 0-1 Cowdenbeath

BEAMING Blue Brazil gaffer Danny Lennon praised his troops after they put the Loons to the sword. Mark Ramsay was the hero for Cowden, lashing home a loose ball with 21 minutes left.

Lennon said: "The boys showed great spirit and it just proves what we can do.

"It's difficult to get any kind of result here but by winning we proved we have the making of a good side."

The pace picked up after a tame first half and Ramsay netted the winner in 69 minutes after Forfar's Elliot Smith failed to clear his lines.

Loons boss Dick Campbell said: "There will be changes for the cup game. It has been a bad week all round."
