Albion 1-3 Forfar

DEBUT-BOY Stephen Manson put the icing on the cake with a lovely lob as new-look Forfar underlined their promotion credentials.

Fellow new signings Kevin McLeish and Craig Winter were also on target as they thumped ropey Rovers.

McLeish's penalty put Forfar ahead in 17 minutes after Alan Benton handled in the area.

Derek Lilley almost doubled the lead in 19 minutes when his header was cleared off the line.

Albion replied in 44 minutes when Bobby Barr accepted Michael McGowan's pass and slotted home from 12 yards.

McLeish was denied his second in 55 minutes when his curling shot was palmed wide by David Scott.

Winter put the visitors back in front with a header from six yards.

And sub Manson wrapped it up in 84 minutes when he lifted the ball over Scott from 20 yards.
