Stevie Murray: I'm on way up despite three-division drop

FORMER Kilmarnock kid Stevie Murray insists his career is going places despite dropping three divisions in a year.

The midfielder has joined part-timers Dumbarton after a stint at Partick Thistle but feels the Sons are on the up.

He said: "You don't get many chances to win a medal in your career - but I believe we can win the Third Division this season.

"Manager Jim Chapman sold the club to me with his plans for the future and where he wants to be in the next three years.

"There are ambitions to turn full time and no reason why we can't push for the First Division. I had seven good years at Killie but now I'm looking ahead."
