East Fife 0-2 Spartans

SUPERSUB Struan Preston sealed the win as Spartans stunned East Fife with a gutsy defensive display.

The Fifers had the better of the first half and Bobby Linn tested keeper Marc Lunn with a low drive early on.

In 30 minutes Robert Campbell headed a Dougie Cameron cross towards goal but Lunn was equal to it again.

Spartans shocked the Second Division side when they took the lead four minutes into the second half.

Robbie Manson's free-kick found Ross Campbell and his header squeezed into the net.

Just before full-time Spartans broke away and Preston ran through on goal before slipping the ball past Willie McCulloch.
