Forfar 1-1 Dumbarton

CHRIS GEDDES admits he is gutted his late miss means Forfar have finished bottom of the Scottish League.

The Angus club haven't been in that position for 30 years.

The striker said: "I tried to place the ball when I should have blasted it.

"I hurt my foot but finishing bottom of the table hurts more.

"I knew we needed a goal but after doing the hard bit I missed a great chance. The boss told me not to take it personally."

Sons' Chris Hamilton scored in 69 minutes but two minutes later John Ovenstone equalised.

Then came Geddes' glaring miss in the dying seconds.

Forfar caretaker boss Willie Garner said: "We put in a good display but finishing bottom just isn't good enough."

Sons boss Jim Chapman said: "Forfar deserved to win."
