Elgin 1-5 Stenhoursemuir

JOHN COUGHLIN hailed Robert Love after the hitkid bagged a hat-trick as Stenny romped home to claim fifth.

The teenager looked a class act as he put City to the sword in only his second start for the Warriors.

Boss Coughlin said: "Robert showed great composure front of goal and I was delighted for him. He might have had a hat-trick last week too but that display was the icing on the cake."

Love punished dozy defending to fire the opener from 12 yards before Steven Ferguson added No.2 with a stunning lob from the centre circle.

Elgin pulled one back through Jason Crooks but Love volleyed home Craig McEwan's cross to make it 3-1 before Paul Tyrrell added No.4.

Love wrapped it up in 66 minutes with a great volley from Tyrell's cross.

City No.2 Kenny Gilbert said: "That was sore. We looked a tired bunch."
