LOAN signing Zander Sutherland heaped praise on his team-mates after they moved to within two points of Arbroath in the chase for a play-off place.
City were struggling at the lower end of the table when Sutherland joined from Inverness Caley.
But a major transformation sees them pushing for promotion.
Sutherland said: "When I joined we weren't doing too well but we are now two points off the play-offs which tells you just how far we have come this season.
"The gaffer told us the pressure was on Arbroath so we played as though there was no pressure on us and it's paid off."
Darren Shallicker volleyed home from a Craig Frizzel cross to put City in front in 17 minutes.
A defensive blunder in 68 minutes allowed Craig Campbell to make it 2-0.
Five minutes from the end Arbroath pulled a goal back when sub Paul Tosh fired home.
Arbroath boss John McGlashan said: "It'll be an exciting end to the season but the ball is in our court."
