STENNY gaffer John Coughlin was raging as Arbroath took the points in the fight for a play-off place.

Just before half-time ref Thomas Robertson awarded a penalty after Stenny's Patrick Mailey crashed into Barry Sellars - who then collided with Craig McEwan, suffering a broken nose.

Coughlin said: "If anyone saw a foul apart from the ref I'd like to speak to them."

Alan Brazil scored from the spot kick. Stenny's Ian Harty was sent off in 82 minutes.

Arbroath gaffer John McGlashan said: "That is as proud as I've ever been of my players."
