EAST STIRLING caretaker boss John Brownlie last night blasted Gordon Moffat, claiming his red card cost Shire the points.
The full-back was sent off after he lunged into Scott Dalziel in the 62nd minute of Shire's sixth straight defeat.
Brownlie raged: "It was absolutely stupid of our right back to get sent off and it cost us at least a point. We did 95 per cent of things right today."
Brownlie took charge after Gordon Wylde's midweek exit.
He added: "I came with Gordon and some people think I should leave with him - so I really don't know about the job."
Stenny went ahead in eight minutes when Willie Lyle tapped in Brian McLaughlin's low cross from close range.
Shire ended 513 minutes without scoring in 18 minutes when Andrew Brand's 30-yard screamer flew into the net.
Andy Ross ballooned over a penalty before Sean Simpson put Shire in front from a low freekick in 28 minutes.
Paul Tyrell squared it eight minutes later with a low shot that was deflected in before Moffat was sent off.
A Joe Savage curler put Shire ahead in 64 minutes before Stenny sub Ross Hamilton made it 3-3, heading in Ian Harty's cross in 77 minutes.
And Harty made it a dream debut in 86 minutes, bending in a superb 20-yard shot.
Despite the win Stenny boss John Coughlin said: "They were the better side. We didn't play well at all.
"Taking on Ian Harty was no gamble. He's an excellent player who put in a hell of a shift."
