Jan 6 2008 Ally Graham Reports
STENNY gaffer John Coughlin was left sickened after Jamie McKenzie struck late to dent the Warriors' promotion hopes.
This thriller looked to be going the way of the visitors before McKenzie popped up to give Coughlin the January blues. He said: "I am really gutted. I can't believe we threw it away like that.
"My teams are always based on good defending and we didn't show that today."
The Coatbridge men took the lead after six minutes when McKenzie blasted a 25-yard rocket past keeper Ally Brown.
Graham Gibson was looking lively for the visitors and their pressure paid off on the half hour when midfielder Stevie Ferguson met Craig McEwan's superb cross to bullet a header home.
Stenny made it 2-1 six minutes into the second half through Alan Gilbride but Albion hit back just after the hour when Barry Donald's 20-yard drive was back-heeled past Brown by Roddy Hunter.
Scott Dalziel fired Warriors ahead three minutes later but John McCormack's side refused to give up and in 90 minutes McKenzie drilled home from 22 yards.
Rovers boss McCormack said: "I'm annoyed about the goals we lost but we deserved to get the draw at the end."
