DEREK CARR accused his East Fife players of failing to show up after Blues inflicted their third home defeat of the season.
The Bayview assistant was left fuming as Stranraer punished the Fifers' limp first-half show with strikes from Kevin Nicol and Steven McConalogue.
Chris Templeman nodded home a Paul McManus cross from close range to pull one back for East Fife before the interval but the visitors held on comfortably to clinch three points.
Carr - standing in for flu-hit boss Dave Baikie - said: "They had a better appetite than some of our players and complacency set in particularly in the first half.
"The best team won and we didn't create much at all."
Stranraer were reduced to 10 men late on when Gregory Tade was red-carded for two bookings.
Blues manager Derek Ferguson said: "We thoroughly deserved to win. It's been coming as we've been playing like that since the start of the season."
