RAITH boss John McGlynn demanded a response from his players and got one as Rovers easily brushed Arbroath aside.
McGlynn was raging after last week's poor show at Brechin but cut a different figure after goals from Allan Walker and Mark Ferry sealed victory.
He said: "I'm delighted - I was looking for a response from my players and I got it.
"I'm pleased with the way we fought for the ball.
"I would have taken 2-0 before the game but saying that we had some good opportunities to win by more."
Raith grabbed their opener in 20 minutes when Walker burst clear to hammer home.
Two minutes later they added a second when Ferry fired in a superb half-volley from 20 yards.
Arbroath boss John McGlashan said: "We had chances to score in the second half but failed to take them. The players worked hard but were missing a wee bit of quality."
