Second Division East Fife 1 Queen's Park 2
QUEEN'S gaffer Gardner Speirs admitted his side were lucky to get their first win of the season.
Ross Dunlop (below) bagged an early opener for Queen's but East Fife striker Chris Templeman equalised seconds later before Adam Coakley slotted home the decider before half time.
But Speirs slammed his dozy troops and said: "We got out of jail with that one.
"The players couldn't hold onto the ball, which caused us endless problems.
"We played well below standard but our two goals were excellent and our determination was first class."
Fifers boss Dave Baikie warned his side must cut out the silly mistakes and said: "We had lots of the ball and created good chances but the two goals we lost were bad so we have to eradicate the errors.
"The boys are showing plenty of determination and I feel we're not far from some good results."
Coakley split the Fifers defence in 10 minutes and set up Dunlop to tap in.
Baikie's team hit back through Templeman a minute later before Coakley rounded the keeper to slot home in 38 minutes.
