GARDNER SPEIRS slammed his side's dismal first-half display as Queen's battled back from two down to snatch a point.
The drama followed an emotional minute's applause before kick-off for journalist Bob Crampsey and ex-Spiders skipper Paul Borland who both died last week.
Stranraer raced into a two-goal advantage through Gregory Tade in 16 minutes before Mark McBride's free-kick three minutes later.
But sub Robert Dunn hit back on the hour and Paul Cairney levelled from the spot with 12 minutes left.
However, furious Queen's boss Speirs said: "We were outmuscled so we cleared the air at the break and got a reaction."
Blues boss Derek Ferguson, who was sent to the stands for protesting after Alex White saw red for a tackle on Paul Harkins, said: "All I want to say is that I'm proud of my boys.
"You saw what happened and I'll leave it up to you to comment."
