Airdrie 1-1 Alloa

DIAMONDS manager Kenny Black was left gobsmacked as his side failed to dump their fellow promotion hopefuls.

Bryan Prunty fired past Raymond Jellema just before the hour to wipe out Kyle McAulay's 21st-minute headed opener for the visitors.

The draw secured second spot for the Lanarkshire men but Black was still disappointed that his side failed to snatch a winner.

He said: "I'm surprised we didn't win today because we played well and made a lot of great chances.

"When Bryan scored I thought we'd go on to take all three points but luck wasn't on our side."

Wasps boss Allan Maitland was delighted with a point that keeps his men on course for a play-off spot.

He said: "We have conceded 10 goals in three games against Airdrie this season so it's great to finally get a result. The draw keeps us in fourth so I'm pleased."
