Cowdenbeath 1-1 Alloa

ALLOA gaffer Allan Maitland blasted his players for dropping out of the top four despite a late equaliser against relegation threatened Cowdenbeath.

Maitland, who admitted his side were lucky to get a point, said: "Cowdenbeath are battling for survival but we did not do anything.

"We let them dominate for long spells."

Beath almost certainly now face the relegation play-offs.

Gaffer Brian Welsh said: "It was a sore one. We made three substitutions because of injury and finished with 10 fit men.

"Queen's Park's win over Peterhead makes it difficult for us to avoid the play-offs but we have to ensure we go into them playing well."

Beath scored through Paul McQuade in 66 minutes but sub Graeme Brown hit an equaliser.
