Raith Rovers 3-0 Berwick

THREE headed goals gave Raith a routine victory against bottom dogs Berwick.

David Templeton looked lively up front for Rovers but with his first chance he hit a tame shot held easily by Peter Logan.

Robert Sloan almost put Raith ahead in 33 minutes, his curling free kick being tipped around the post by Logan.

From the corner John McGlynn's troops went in front, Mark Campbell heading in Sloan's cross.

Steven Hislop thought he had doubled the lead moments later but his effort was ruled out for handball.

Marvin Andrews and Hislop were both denied by Logan as Rovers ended the half in complete control.

Raith continued to dominate after the break and Templeton's freewent narrowly over the bar.

The Kirkcaldy side doubled their lead in 69 minutes, Hislop nodding in Sloan's delivery.

Hislop nearly netted his second a minute later but his shot was hooked off the line by Jordan Smith.

Raith finished it off in 83 minutes, Sloan providing his third assist when Graham Weir headed in his corner.

Berwick's miserable day continued when Brian Fairbairn was sent off.
