BILLY STARK ended his reign as Queen's Park boss with a win he admitted his side scarcely deserved.
Stark saw breakaway goals from Steven Canning and Alan Trouten steal the points for the Spiders after Andy Ferguson had given Alloa the lead.
The new Scotland U-21 boss said: "Alloa may feel unfortunate but over the past few games we never got the points we deserved so they were well overdue.
"It looks like that's the last game for me and it was great to bow out on the back of a win. I won't make myself a stranger though as I'm only flitting a few hundred yards away."
Alloa dominated the first half and took the lead after 22minutes when a Brown Ferguson strike was parried by Mark Cairns into the path of Andy Ferguson who fired in from close range.
The Wasps still looked the livelier side after the break but were stunned on the counter in 62 minutes when Canning picked up Paul Paton's through ball and blasted home from a tight angle.
Then in 79 minutes Derek Fleming fouled Trouten (right) in the box and the midfielder hit the net from the spot to snatch the win for Queen's.
Alloa manager Allan Maitland fumed: "The defending for both goals was diabolical.
"A lack of pressure allowed them to take their time for the first and Derek Fleming's part in the second goal was inexcusable."
