QUEEN OF THE SOUTH committed Europe's cardinal sin 10 days ago by coughing up two agonising away goals. But boss Gordon Chisholm is convinced they have bolted the back door shut in time to see them past Danes Nordsjaelland on Tuesday night.
The Dumfries side's UEFA Cup start had rookies written all over it against Morten Wieghorst's team, losing the first of two cheap strikes inside two minutes.
Two clean sheets in two games since though has restored their belief they can turn round the 2-1 first leg defeat.
Chis (left) said: "We talked about the goals we lost - they were so soft and have definitely left us a mountain to climb.
"But we worked on what we'd done and in the two games we played straight after them against Partick Thistle and Dunfermline we kept clean sheets.
"I like to think we've rectified any issues and now we've done that we can emphasise the positives to them rather than dwell on the negatives."
The Palmerston boss has still to decide whether to show his side a re-run of the first leg before they face the Danes again.
He said: "I've watched it myself but still don't know whether it's worth going over it with the boys or not on Monday.
"If I do it will be to focus on all the things we did right. They were a decent side but we could have won."
