Kean: We're fit for Europe

CONFIDENT Stewart Kean reckons Queen of the South are in good shape ahead of their UEFA Cup adventure after impressing against a decent Burnley side.

The striker bagged his third goal in as many games since moving from St Mirren.

And Kean said: "We more than held our own and could have taken more out of the game.

"The most important thing was to improve our fitness with the UEFA Cup looming. There are plenty of positives from the game."

Doonhamers boss Gordon Chisholm said: "We were up against quality opposition and created a number of chances."

Burnley gaffer Owen Coyle added: "We lost a soft goal but there were some promising displays."
