Hay won't buy foreign legion

DAVIE HAY revealed having too many foreign players caused dressing-room splits when he was Livingston boss - and he intends to avoid making the same mistake again.

Hay, back at Lions as football consultant under new Italian owner Angelo Massone, said: "We were over-loaded with foreign players during our second season in the SPL.

"There was conflict between them and the British guys and one or two confrontations in training. It's something I want to avoid this time. It's about finding the right balance."
