Livingston 2-1 Stirling Albion

RELIEVED boss Mark Proctor was delighted to see his Livi stars deal with the pressure and snare their first win in 11 attempts.

Strikes from Leigh Griffiths and Robert Snodgrass helped the relegation-threatened side to victory after Jay Rodriguez had fired basement boys Stirling into an early lead.

Proctor said: "The pressure was on us as this was a game we were expected to win.

"I was concerned when we fell behind early but I firmly believed we had the quality to turn it around.

"It wasn't our best performance but we got the win which is the most important thing."

Binos started brightly and got the goal they deserved in 16 minutes as Stuart Devine's low cross was flicked on to Rodriguez who poked the ball high into the net.

The home side were gifted an equaliser 20 minutes later when Myles Hogarth misjudged Griffiths' shot and parried it into the net.

Moments after the restart Livi went in front. Hogarth produced a fine stop to keep out a Snodgrass header but the same player was on hand to stab in the rebound.

Griffiths and LiamFox both went close to extending the home side's lead but it finished 2-1.

Stirling boss Allan Moore said: "The game summed up our season, we started well but couldn't take advantage of grabbing the lead."
