Queen of the South 1-1 Dunfermline

QUEENS gaffer Gordon Chisholm was left fuming after his side had THREE penalty claims turned down.

Scott Morrison's stunning equaliser had brought the Scottish Cup semi-finalists back down to earth with a bang.

The ex-Scotland Under-21 star curled in a superb free-kick to cancel Bob Harris' early opener - and spoil a perfect week for Chisholm's troops.

But the Doonhamers boss was more frustrated with whistler Crawford Allan after he refused to award a spot-kick when Alex Burke bundled over Sean O'Connor.

Morrison and Callum Woods also appeared to handle crosses in the area late on - but Allan refused to budge.

Raging Chisholm said: "There were a couple of penalty shouts towards the end.

"But the one I wanted an explanation for was when Sean got decked and the ref said he didn't see it."

Pars gaffer Jim McIntyre said: "It was a real battle and it felt like a cup tie at times.

"We didn't deserve to lose and in the end a draw was a fair result. They put us under a bit of pressure but our back four defended well."
