SUPER Stevie Tosh reckons his star shows are down to the fact that he is no longer a wide-boy.
The Doonhamers' hero struggled at the start of the season after being asked to play on the left-hand side of midfield.
But the 34-year-old has been in brilliant form since gaffer Gordon Chisholm switched him to a more central role.
Queens secured a fourth league win in six games thanks to goals from Stephen Dobbie, Paul Burns and a Tosh penalty.
The visitors had taken a shock early lead from the spot through Michal McGowan but couldn't hold on after the break. Tosh said: "I'm playing in my favourite position now which has really helped my performances.
"I'll play anywhere but prefer to have a licence to play and pass the ball around from the middle of the park.
"I was filling a problem we had out on the left earlier in the season. The gaffer knew that and I knew that. Getting in behind defenders has never been part of my game."
McGowan converted a 13th minute spot-kick to put the Bully Wee ahead but sub Dobbie equalised on the hour with a fine volley. A deflected Tosh free-kick fell kindly in to the path of Burns who fired home in 72 minutes with Tosh wrapping things up late on.
Dejected Clyde boss Colin Hendry said: "We didn't start well but got ourselves into a good position. Then we switched off at three set pieces and that cost us."
Queens boss Chisholm added: "Our tempo wasn't good enough in the first half but we were much better after the break. I'm delighted with the points and we are now looking at getting as high up the table as possible."
