Ross Co V St Johnstone Tuesday, Kick-Off 7.45pm
ROSS COUNTY goal machine Andrew Barrowman believes he's finally getting back to the form that made him one of the Premiership's hottest prospects.
The Dingwall striker has bagged 17 goals in 25 games this season to help Derek Adams' side top the Second Division table.
After disappointing spells at Kilmarnock and Queen of the South the 23-year-old, who was a target for Inverness in the transfer window, is now showing the scoring prowess that earned him a first-team Birmingham debut.
As he prepared for County's midweek Scottish Cup tie against St Johnstone the Irn Bru Player of the Month said: "I feel I'm getting back to the form I showed at the Blues.
"I've had a few knocks and confidence takes a dent but I'm driven on by the faith County and the gaffer have in me.
"I made five appearances in five years at Birmingham then got to the age where I had to leave. I was in limbo last year andamglad I made this move."
Young gaffer Adams' reputation is being enhanced every week and his team are favourites to seal promotion.
Like his old pal Darren Ferguson, Derek is constantly mentioned in the same breath as his dad George who worked with Sir Alex at Aberdeen.
But the County boss said: "I've tried to make my own name. I've had 16 years as a player and now I'm a gaffer. I know Darren well, we grew up together when my father worked with Sir Alex for nine years. He had problems as a player but if you're strong enough you get through it."
Meanwhile, on-loan St Johnstone star Greg Cameron is desperate for a quarter-final showdown with his Dundee United paymasters - despite being sure Craig Levein won't let him play in it.
Cameron has joined Saints until the end of the season to regain fitness after a hernia op.
And he wants to repay the Perth club by beating County on Tuesday to set up a last-eight clash with United or St Mirren.
But Cameron said: "If we both make it I don't think Craig will let me play in case I score the winner - I wouldn't be able to show my face at Tannadice."
