Pars Won't Be Bogged Down

DUNFERMLINE boss Jim McIntyre won't be moaning about the state of Partick's pitch when the Pars visit Firhill on Tuesday because he knows how it feels to have to groundshare with a rugby team.

McIntyre's side are braced for a quagmire after the Jags turf hosted a big Glasgow Warriors game on Friday followed by Thistle v Hamilton the next day.

The Pars boss said: "It was the same when I played with Reading and we shared with Richmond for a season. It didn't work out well for the pitch but clubs can't afford to knock back extra income.

"We won't use the poor pitch as an excuse. It's the same for both sides and we must be at our best."
