Keeper Lee: I'm Sure I Can Handle It

Cove V Ross County Wed, Kick Off 7.45pm

LEE WINDRUM helped Northern Ireland to a historic first-ever triumph in the Victory Shield as a schoolboy and played for his country's youth team in front of 10,000 fans against Italy.

Now the Cove Rangers keeper is hoping those occasions will help him handle the biggest game of his career as he bids to win a dream move. Windrum said: "Those two occasions will make sure I'm not fazed.

"In terms of stature the biggest was when we won the Victory Shield in 2000 and the game was live on telly. I'm excited about playing County but not scared because I don't think they're much better than us.

"I hope to show what I can do and get a dream move to a bigger club."

Meanwhile, Alex Keddie shocked Clyde while playing for junior outfit Cumbernauld United - and will use that memory to help County avoid a similar slip-up.

He said: "We beat a strong Clyde team, who had guys like Leigh Hinds and Pat Keogh, 3-1 in the Cumbernauld Cup. That's my own warning not to underestimate Cove."
