EURO 2008's golden oldie Ivo Vastic has revealed how he studied Celtic keeper Artur Boruc before firing the penalty that kept Austria's dream alive.
The 38-year-old - oldest player at the tournament - lashed home an injury-time spot-kick against Poland on Thursday night to earn his side a 1-1 draw.
Vastic's goal means the co-hosts still have a chance of qualifying if they can beat Germany in Vienna tomorrow.
He said: "That was the most important goal I've ever scored for the national team.
"I had analysed Boruc beforehand so didn't need to consider my options for too long about how to take the penalty.
"Normally Roland Linz is our taker but since he had been subbed it was clear to me as the oldest player in the team I must take on the responsibility."
Vastic is in line for a start against the Germans and insists all the pressure is on themas one of the tournament favourites.
He said: "There will be a lot going on in the minds of the players. But Germany will be under even more pressure than us after their defeat by Croatia."
Meanwhile, Austria coach Josef Hickersberger has revealed hemay drop skipper and influential talisman Andreas Ivanschitz for the crunch tie.
He's already without Sebastian Proedl while Umit Korkmaz is a major doubt.
Hickersberger said: "It's a bitter blow to lose Proedl because we'll miss his height in defence and up front.
"It will be sad if Sebastian isn't fit as he'll miss a great highlight in his young career.
"Ivanschitz is not in the form I hoped for and that's why I replaced him in the Poland match. I'll wait to see him in training before deciding if he plays."
