World Cup Group Five
SECOND-HALF strikes from Tuncay Sanli and Semih Senturk steered Euro 2008 semi-finalists Turkey to a 2-0 win over Armenia in Yerevan.
Neither side were able to break the deadlock in an even first half.
But Turkey looked more organised and Middlesbrough hitman Tuncay put them in front in the 61st minute when he netted from close range after Arda Turan had headed down a cross from the left.
And Fenerbahce striker Semih made it 2-0 in the 79th minute when he stole the ball from Armenia's Alexander Tatevosian in the penalty box and fired a shot past keeper Roman Berezovsky.
Semih came close to making it 3-0 before the end but failed to cash in on a one-on-one with Berezovsky.
In Brussels, Club Bruges striker Wesley Sonck struck twice as Belgium claimed a nervy 3-2 victory against Estonia.
Sonck put Belgium 1-0 up in the 39th minute but Sergei Zenjov scored a shock equaliser for Estonia in 57 minutes.
Genk's Steven Defour restored Belgium's lead with a 75th-minute strike and Sonck made it 3-1 with 10 minutes to go.
Andres Oper pulled one back for Estonia in the last minute.
