Scotland kids must beware Slovenia backlash, warns U21 star Jamie Hamill

JAMIE HAMILL insists Scotland must beware a Slovenia side hellbent on revenge in this week's Under-21 crunch at Falkirk Stadium.

The Kilmarnock kid netted his first international goal in the 4-0 romp over the Group Six minnows in Nova Gorica last November.

But Hamill reckons Slovenia will be fired up to regain respect and can't be written off on Thursday.

Scotland need back-to-back wins against the Slovenians then Denmark away next week to close in on the play-offs and Hamill said: "Slovenia will come thinking they can win.

"If I'd lost 4-0 I'd want revenge and we have to watch for that. When we played them in Slovenia they looked a good team so we can't assume it will be easy.

"We have to forget about that match and start all over again. We are desperate to take three points which would stand us in good stead for our final match away to Denmark."
