Owen's goal is to be top scorer

HUNGRY hitman Michael Owen has set his sights on becoming England's greatest scorer of all time - and getting 100 caps.

Owen missed last Wednesday's friendly win over the USA at Wembley with a virus.

And it will also keep him out of tonight's clash with Trinidad and Tobago in Port of Spain.

But the 28-year-old Newcastle striker admits he is desperate to reach the two magic milestones in the not-too-distant future.

Owen has netted 40 goals for England and is nine behind Sir Bobby Charlton's all-time record. And he is just 11 games away from clocking up a century of international caps.

He said: "They are the two main targets.

I would be a proudman if I could reach either of them, let alone both."
