FIFA head honcho Sepp Blatter has delivered a stinging blast at bungling Berti Vogts after his shambolic spell in charge of Nigeria.
The flop Scotland boss presided over a disastrous Africa Cup of Nations campaign and was axed last month by the furious Nigerians.
Now Blatter admits he will consider a rule barring foreign coaches from leading national teams. He said: "This is not against anyone specific but a national coach should understand the people and soul of that nation.
"You have seen what has happened in Africa with these foreign coaches.
"Sometimes it's good to have a big name in a smaller country to create interest but how can you motivate your players through an interpreter? I also think they should live in the country to follow their players.
"Berti Vogts was not even living in Nigeria because he said his players weren't there. But to feel a team you must feel the country.
"I will bring it to the Technical Committee on Monday. If we had such a rule maybe it would impact on the freedom of the associations. But we can take up this matter."
