Exclusive Fergie And Dalglish Back Bravehearts To Blow Italy Away

SCOTS legends Sir Alex Ferguson and Kenny Dalglish last night lined up behind our Euro 2008 heroes and told them: You'll make it through.

Fired-up Sir Alex is tipping our Bravehearts to dump world champions Italy at Hampden on Saturday.

And Dalglish is equally convinced Alex McLeish's shock troops can pull off what would be the most astonishing result in our history.

Beating the Azzurri would book our place in Austria and Switzerland at Italy's expense.

And, in an incredible double bill of MailSport exclusives, Scotland's football Goliaths delivered the morale-boosting verdict the Tartan Army craves.

Manchester United kingpin Fergie said: "It's a tall order but it can be done. There is plenty to be optimistic about and Scotland can win.

What an achievement it would be."

Scotland's most capped player and joint top goalscorer Dalglish claimed: "Qualifying from this group will rank with anything the national team has achieved."

And KD, who notched 30 goals from 102 caps, insisted: "We can do it. We'll be in their faces. We have players who can win games and stop rivals. It's not an impossible task."
