FRUSTRATED Martin O'Neill refused to put the boot into his stuttering stars after another dreary draw.
The Aston Villa boss saw his shot-shy side waste a series of chances in a clash devoid of any real excitement.
The best chance of the game fell to Steve Sidwell who managed to head over from eight yards despite being left unmarked.
O'Neill said: "We missed a few chances to win the game and it's a couple of points dropped.
"There were misplaced passes and sloppy play. It didn't come off for us today which is a shame."
