FORGOTTEN Rangers star Alan Gow has revealed Blackpool want to sign him on a permanent basis.
The 26-year-old has rattled in three goals in five starts for Simon Grayson's side since moving to England on loan.
Gow was left disillusioned by his lack of action at Ibrox after his Bosman move from Falkirk in 2007.
And he has now confessed for the first time his short-lived stint under Gers boss Walter Smith may be over.
Blackpool chiefs met Gow's agent on Friday and will sit down this week to discuss taking him to Bloomfield Road on a long-term contract.
Gow is enjoying his football again and feels he's getting back to the form that earned him the move to Rangers.
He said: "Blackpool would like to sign me but discussions are at an early stage.
"I'd still like to go back to Ibrox but that won't be down to me. I haven't heard anything so I can't see it.
"I don't know whether they will send someone to see me.
"Everything is going well because I'm playing again and scoring goals.
"My ability never changed.
I just lost fitness because I wasn't playing at Rangers.
"I'm now back to the level I've always known I'm capable of. I've scored three goals including last-minute ones against Cardiff and Watford."
Blackpool take on Preston today in a Lancashire derby and Gow would love to become a fans' hero by netting in the Championship clash.
He said: "The punters have been great and scoring against Preston would probably cement my place with them.
"Simon Grayson is a good guy and has shown a lot of faith by giving me a chance.
"I've been playing with the likes of Ben Burgess and Steve Kabba up front but I've also had a stint in midfield."
Former Celtic defender Stephen Crainey has helped Gow settle in.
He said: "Stephen has been great. He gives me lifts because the new surroundings take a bit of getting used to."
