Gretna loan a Kiss of life

FORMER Gretna loan star John Paul Kissock hopes his SPL experience will help him break into the Everton team.

The 18-year-old was one of the few bright spots at Gretna last season after being loaned out by Goodison boss Davie Moyes to gain first-team experience.

And the midfielder believes his time in Scotland can now help propel him into Everton's first team set-up Kissock said: "I'll give it my best shot in pre-season and hopefully put a few ideas into the gaffer's head.

"I believe I benefited from my stint in the SPL and I'm now looking to try and push into the first team."
