McFadden won't walk away from Birmingham

SCOTLAND star James McFadden has vowed to stay on at Birmingham despite the club being relegated from the Premiership.

The 25-year-old, who was signed by Alex McLeish from Everton in January for s5million, is on the radar of a host of top flight clubs including Newcastle, Portsmouth and Sunderland.

But McLeish's No.2 Andy Watson revealed: "James has told us he is enjoying it here and would like to help get us out of the Championship.

"He is a man of his word and if he wanted to go he'd tell us.

"But James is playing every week here and that's all he wants - regular football."
